Southwest Boulder & Stone features free landscape design workshops for homeowners to learn about design basics and principles. These workshops assist the do-it-yourselfers in creating professional looking landscaping with the use of themed specific hardscape, planting materials, and décor. Landscape designers and contractors build a permanent display and further explain to the attendees the process involved in the overall design and construction. Below is a list of our upcoming workshops.

 - Wall-Eye – Don’t get stuck with a bland wall. In this workshop, we’ll show you how to make your wall come alive. Whether its a retaining wall, a planter box, or a decorative garden wall, learn how to integrate plants, design features, borders, capstones and much more.

That’s why we have put together some basic tips for designing a yard that will look beautiful year-round with minimal maintenance.

 - You’re Fired – Building a fire-pit is a fast, easy and beautiful way to fill some empty space in your yard and help tie together differing design aspects of your landscape. A fire-pit is also a great focal point for entertaining guests, having a romantic evening, or enjoying a night with the family.
